Just announced, Eclipse will slide Certification and Flight Test Milestones.

FAA Certification has slipped from 3.31.06 to 6.30.06

The natural icing flight tests have slipped from 2.15.06 to 9.29.06

Icing flight tests occuring after FAA Certification is interesting.

I reviewed the timeline on the eclipse site. Its still unclear to me when customer deliveries will begin. Is it June '06 or Dec '06 (date of some other certification). Clearly deliveries cannot begin before FAA cert. but these other dates in the timeline confuse me.

Can deliveries begin before icing tests? If not then its very late '06.

The icing tests will be conducted shortly after type certification of
the aircraft. Certifying a new aircraft for known icing requires
optimal icing conditions, flights behind the KC135 ice test aircraft and
other special requirements.

Eclipse apparently feels that with schedule, it would not be in their
best interest to delay certification for known icing tests - they do
expect to receive this shortly after FAA TC.
